INTERVIEW OF KHYATI KAVA: Artist (Emcee, Anchor, VJ)
Q: What inspired you to start your own business?
A: Since childhood, I have always been a stage person. During college when I discovered the option of creating a career by anchoring events there was no looking back.
Q: What hurdles came across in beginning?
A: It’s a very fast-paced and competitive market. To create a space for yourself is difficult as there are always newer, younger and cost-effective options available. To maintain the quality of work and creating a niche has been always important.
Q: What is Your Struggle Story?
A: After my family went through a major financial crisis where we lost our house and I was asked to quit my academics that’s when I encountered Events. Started working when I was merely 18 years old at Rs.1000 / event as I wanted to continue studying and build my own future. Worked really hard while studying in college, have hosted all kinds of events from mall promotions, college fests, press conferences, corporate events, social events, IPs and more. Today after almost a decade, when I look back I feel happy and proud of the journey that I’ve had till now. Although there’s a long way to go and I won't stop as I am #BornForStage and that’s where I belong and I strive every day to better myself and deliver a smashing show event after event.
Q: What is your business into?
A: Khyati Kava #BornForStage is one of the most sought-after anchors in India. Style and Versatility are the two factors due to which my career has been blossoming even after a decade in the industry. I am now moved into Team building coaching as well. From serious corporate events and summits to glamorous Filmfare awards and derby events, I have done it all.
Q: How would you like to help your fellow members / or contribute towards society?
A: I would like to associate with their businesses or products and promote them on my online space. Would love to look at more opportunities where I can contribute to their success while also uplifting my own career.
In fact, its been a great association with Women Entrepreneurs Enclave (WEE) where I’ve got a chance to connect with some of the most intelligent and empowered women. All the members are eager to help and support one another and that is the beauty of WEE.
