Asif Ali Zardari arrested in fake bank accounts case

Former Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari was arrested by officials from the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in Islamabad after the Islamabad High Court declined extending his bail application in a multimillion-dollar money laundering case.

Zardari, currently a lawmaker in Parliament, and his sister Faryal Talpur are accused of having dozens of bogus bank accounts. Zardari has denied any wrongdoing.
