China blocks India’s bid to ban JeM chief Masood Azhar for 4th time

China, a permanent member of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), blocked India’s bid to designate Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammed’s (JeM) chief Masood Azhar as a global terrorist for the fourth time. The US, UK and France had moved a proposal to ban Azhar following the terror attack in Pulwama last month, the responsibility for which was claimed by the terror group.
