Goa CM Manohar Parrikar passes away aged 63 after prolonged illness

Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar passed away aged 63 on Sunday, a year after being diagnosed with a pancreatic ailment. He had been in and out of hospitals in Goa, Mumbai, Delhi and New York since February 2018. Parrikar had first become Goa CM in 2000 and had also served as Defence Minister of India from 2014 to 2017.
