USA govt asked Congress to reimburse Taliban for travel expenses

The US government had asked the Congress to reimburse the Taliban for the travel expenses incurred while attending peace talks, a congressional aide said.

However, a Capitol Hill committee denied the request as it’d have amounted to support for terrorists. The Taliban and the US have been participating in the talks with an aim to end the war in Afghanistan.
